Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has admitted that he was "disappointed" by a couple of refereeing decisions during his side's 1-1 draw with Everton this evening.

The Toffees' opening goal came from a free kick which was awarded for a high boot against Damien Delaney, despite Everton's Phil Jagielka handling the ball in the same incident.

Delaney also saw a goal controversially disallowed for offside, and Pardew believes that his side can feel hard done by at not having coming away with all three points.

"Everton had a couple of spells early on where you could see their quality. They took the lead but we wouldn't lie down and we did really well in the second half," he told Sky Sports News.

"I was a bit disappointed that the referee gave the free kick [that led to Everton's goal]. It was a bit harsh.

"The assistant referee's explanation [for the disallowed goal] was he thought Damien was offside, but I gather the TV replays show he wasn't. If that's what his call was then we can feel a bit hard done by on that one."

Palace are now unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, picking up 11 points in the process - the same number as they amassed in their first 21 league games this calendar year.
