Denmark Under-21s qualify for the semi-finals of Euro 2015 as group winners after securing a hard-fought 2-0 win over Serbia Under-21s in their Group A clash in Prague.

Denmark Under-21s have qualified for the semi-finals of Euro 2015 by topping Group A after securing a hard-fought 2-0 win over Serbia Under-21s in Prague.

Serbia dominated the early stages of the game but were caught out in the 21st minute when, against the run of play, Denmark took the lead.

Riza Durmisi, making the most of some lacklustre defending, sent a cross into the box from the left flank, where Rasmus Falk was on hand to meet the ball on the volley and bury it past Marko Dmitrovic.

Despite this setback, Serbia regrouped and soon had their opponents under the cosh, Milos Jojic almost equalising with a 20-yard effort that Jakob Busk bundled over, and Filip Djuricic firing wide from a tight angle.

Denmark withstood the barrage and ended the half on a high, with Durmisi smashing a free kick against the post and Falk's long-range effort sailing just wide, but weren't able to add to their tally by the break.

This was soon remedied by Jess Thorup's charges, however, as a Pierre Hojbjerg free kick just after the restart escaped the Serbian defenders, allowing Viktor Fischer to bring the ball down at the back post and finish past Dmitrovic.

To their credit, Serbia did not let their heads slip, and continued to drive forward in a bid to get back into the game, but Denmark held firm to secure the win and qualify as group winners.
