Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Turkish Super Lig clash between Fenerbahce and Antalyaspor, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Fenerbahce will be looking to keep their title hopes alive when they welcome Antalyaspor to Istanbul on Tuesday night in the Turkish Super Lig.

The Yellow Canaries enjoyed a comfortable victory over Sivasspor last time out, whilst Antalyaspor have played out back-to-back draws most recently in their league campaign.

Match preview

Fenerbahce extended their winning run to three matches on Wednesday night with a Turkish Cup success over Sivasspor on home soil, with Ferdi Kadioglu, Michy Batshuayi and Joshua King getting on the scoresheet in Istanbul.

The Yellow Canaries can now look forward to a cup final against local rivals Istanbul Basaksehir next month, but they still have plenty of work to do in the Super Lig in order to win their first league crown since 2014.

Jorge Jesus's men are second in the Super Lig standings, five points behind first-placed Galatasaray with just three matches left to play - any slip up between now and the end of the campaign will hand Okan Buruk's side the title.

Home form has been a major issue for Fenerbahce this season, with the club collecting 35 points from 16 home matches, whilst Cimbom have earned 44 points in front of their respective home faithful.

Even if the Yellow Canaries do not finish top of the league standings, one of their standout performers is set to win the Golden Boot, with Ecuadorian striker Enner Valencia having netted 28 Super Lig goals this season - eight more than the division's next most-potent attacker Mbaye Diagne.

Antalyaspor head to Istanbul without a win this month, and it appears that their season is beginning to fizzle out with safety in the Turkish top flight secured already.

The Scorpions' last away match was extremely close to ending producing maximum points after Guray Vural put the visitors ahead in the 68th minute, but a 93rd-minute equaliser from Ankaragucu's Milson forced a share of the spoils.

Nuri Sahin's charges sit 13th in the league standings, and with 18th-placed Gaziantep FK 13 points behind, Antalyaspor's seat at the top table of Turkish football is safe.

American Haji Wright has been the visitors' main source of goals this season having netted 15 times in 26 Super Lig appearances - the 25-year-old will be wanting to end the season on a high to show Folarin Balogun that he cannot just waltz into a starting spot for the Stars and Stripes.

Team News

Fenerbahce will have to make do without Lincoln for the remainder of the campaign, with the Brazilian suffering a cruciate ligament injury back in April.

Former Queens Park Rangers right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel is continuing to recover from a calf injury sustained at the beginning of the month - the Nigerian is hoping to be available for the Yellow Canaries' cup final in the middle of June.

Altay Bayindir has been out of action for the hosts since April owing to a back injury, and Irfan Egribayat is set to deputise once again in between the sticks.

Antalyaspor centre-back Omer Toprak is a doubt for Tuesday's trip to Istanbul after he was forced off in the first half last time out, meaning Emercan Uzunhan is likely to partner Veysel Sari in defence.

Shoya Nakajima and Dogukan Sinik are both pushing for starts after appearing off the bench in the goalless draw with Basaksehir last weekend.

Fenerbahce possible starting lineup:
Egribayat; Kadioglu, Akaydin, Szalai, Peres; Guler, Arao, Zajc, Rossi; Batshuayi, Valencia

Antalyaspor possible starting lineup:
Leite, Balci, Sari Uzunhan, Sertel; Rakip, Fernando, Ndao, Fredy, Larsson; Wright

We say: Fenerbahce 2-0 Antalyaspor

Fenerbahce come into this clash with a slim chance of catching Galatasaray and claiming their first league crown in nine years - a motivation which should see them sweep aside Antalyaspor.

The Scorpions have little to play for in the final three matches of their campaign, and we envisage Sahin's side having a very challenging night in Istanbul on Tuesday.
