Liverpool will be aiming to secure a straightforward passage into the Champions League quarter-finals when Inter Milan pay a visit for the second leg of their last-16 tie at Anfield on Tuesday night.

The Reds head into the game with a healthy 2-0 lead from the first leg at San Siro, with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah on the scoresheet.

Jurgen Klopp's side were forced to work for their warm-up victory in the Premier League at the weekend but ultimately got over the line 1-0 against West Ham United thanks to Sadio Mane's winner.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Nerazzurri.

Joel Matip

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: March 8 (vs. Inter Milan)

Joel Matip came down with a non-COVID related illness before the West Ham game, and it remains to be seen if the centre-back will be fit enough to return in midweek.

Roberto Firmino

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: March 8 (vs. Inter Milan)

Roberto Firmino is making good progress in his return from a muscular issue and has rejoined his teammates for training, so he could be available for the second leg.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 8 (vs. Inter Milan)

Thiago Alcantara picked up a hamstring injury in the warm-up for the EFL Cup final, but the issue is not as serious as first feared, so he may also be available for Tuesday.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for the second leg.
