Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp names a strong lineup as the Reds welcome Spartak Moscow in the Champions League.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named a strong lineup as the Reds welcome Spartak Moscow tonight looking to wrap up qualification to the last-16 stage of the Champions League.

A win against Russian opposition tonight will confirm the Reds as Group E champions, while a point would be enough to see them through to the next stage.

Klopp makes five changes from his unorthodox starting XI in the 5-1 win at Brighton & Hove Albion over the weekend, naming a front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Emre Can, Georginio Wijnaldum and Philippe Coutinho are tasked with marshalling the midfield from the off, while James Milner and Jordan Henderson drop down to the bench.

Joe Gomez, Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno link up with Dejan Lovren in a much-changed backline, with Trent Alexander-Arnold making way and Andy Robertson out of the matchday squad altogether.

As usual for European competitions, Loris Karius replaces Simon Mignolet between the sticks.

As for the visitors, Massimo Carrera makes six changes from the starting XI that managed a 1-0 win over Arsenal Tula in the Russian Premier League last Friday, handing Cape Verdean forward Ze Luis a start up front.

Attacking support comes from Luiz Adriano and the Roman Zobnin and Quincy Promes, while Fernando and skipper Denis Glushakov take up holding roles.

There is one change in the back four, with Serdar Tasci replacing Ilya Kutepov as centre-half partner for Salvatore Bocchetti, alongside Andrey Yeshchenko on the right and Georgi Dzhikiya at left-back.

Aleksandr Selikhov is in for Aleksandr Maksimenko in goal.

Liverpool: Karius; Gomez, Klavan, Lovren, Moreno; Can, Wijnaldum, Coutinho; Mane, Salah, Firmino
Subs: Mignolet, Milner, Henderson, Sturridge, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold

Spartak Moscow: Selikhov; Eshchenko, Tasci, Bocchetti, Dzhikiya; Fernando, Glushakov; Zobnin, Adriano, Promes; Ze Luis
Subs: Rebrov, Kutepov, Samedov, Melgarejo, Pasalic, Popov, Pedro Rocha
