Jurgen Klopp looking to channel Borussia Dortmund spirit

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp challenges his players to repeat the spirit shown in their comeback against Borussia Dortmund when they welcome Villarreal to Anfield.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has described his side's Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal as "a moment for the whole Liverpool world".

The Reds trail the Spanish side by one goal after their late defeat at El Madrigal last week, but have previous in coming from behind in Europe this season having produced a stirring three-goal comeback against Borussia Dortmund in the last round.

Klopp hailed the impact that the fans had during that match, but insists that it will be down to the Liverpool players and staff to get the job done on Thursday night.

"I have not enough words for this. To be honest, it is one of the things in life you cannot buy. It is most special," Klopp told reporters.

"It is these moments when you really know it is not just the crowd in the stadium - I saw some videos of fans celebrating our fourth goal [against Dortmund] at home. I'm sure a lot of people didn't have their cell phones on so we missed a lot of wonderful celebrations.

"I don't want to make it too big. It is a moment for the whole Liverpool world. Everyone will be watching on television, listening on radio or following on the internet. To know about this is absolutely no pressure; it is only the 11 starters, the boys on the bench plus boys in training plus the staff who will do everything."

Liverpool have not reached the final of a European competition since 2007.
