Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their FA Cup third-round replay with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool will endeavour to advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup when they tackle Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in Tuesday's replay.

Jurgen Klopp's side were humbled in a 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon, where Solly March struck twice alongside an effort from Danny Welbeck, and their first meeting with Wolves at Anfield two weekends ago ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

The out-of-sorts Reds have subsequently slipped down to ninth in the Premier League table - seven points adrift of the top four as the season approaches its midway point, and their FA Cup title defence is at risk of ending at the first hurdle.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Julen Lopetegui's side, who ran out 1-0 winners over West Ham United last time out.

Darwin Nunez

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: January 17 (vs. Wolves)

Darwin Nunez missed a few training sessions last week owing to an unspecified problem, and he was not ready to face Brighton. While the Uruguayan's issue is not thought to be serious, he is still facing a race against time to be fit for Tuesday.

Luis Diaz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: March 4 (vs. Manchester United)

Luis Diaz is still facing another several weeks on the sidelines after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury, which will likely render him unavailable until March.

Arthur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 4 (vs. Wolves)

Arthur remains on track in his recovery from thigh surgery, which has kept him on the sidelines since October, and he could potentially target a return to action at the start of next month.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: February 4 (vs. Wolves)

Diogo Jota sustained a serious calf injury during October's win over Manchester City, and while he is also making strong progress in his recovery, it will still be another few weeks before the Portugal attacker can return.

Roberto Firmino

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Roberto Firmino was initially expected to battle back from his calf problem relatively quickly, but the Brazilian attacker has since suffered a setback, and Klopp is not sure when he will be able to return to team training.

Virgil van Dijk

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 18 (vs. Newcastle United)

Virgil van Dijk sustained a hamstring injury during Liverpool's defeat to Brentford on January 2. The issue was initially believed to have been a minor one, but scans have revealed a more serious problem, and he will not be back for another few weeks at least.

Stefan Bajcetic

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: January 17 (vs. Wolves)

Teenage midfielder Stefan Bajcetic was unable to face Brighton after taking a knock to the hip, despite returning to training before the game, but he should be fit enough to make his comeback here.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
