West Bromwich Albion assistant manager Dave Kemp admits that Manchester City were "too good" for his side during their Premier League clash at The Hawthorns.

West Bromwich Albion assistant manager Dave Kemp has admitted that Manchester City were "too good" for his side this afternoon.

City returned to winning ways in emphatic style at The Hawthorns, with Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan both scoring twice in a 4-0 victory for Pep Guardiola's side.

Kemp believes that a four-goal deficit was harsh on his side, but acknowledged that they were comfortably second best to the league leaders.

"Four-nil seems a bit harsh at the end but you can't complain, they are very good," he told reporters.

"We were poor in the first half but they're an excellent team, let's be honest, full of quality. But we improved in the second half and came out and gave it a real good go for 20-25 minutes.

"We needed to score during that period and if we did it might have been a different game. But on the day they were too good for us and had too much quality."

The Baggies are now winless in their last five outings and sit just three points clear of the relegation zone.
