Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Galatasaray

:Headline: Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Galatasaray:
Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Galatasaray.
Sports Mole

Needing to avoid defeat to retain any hope of a Champions League knockout appearance, Manchester United travel to Galatasaray for Wednesday's Group A fixture.

Erik ten Hag's men lost 3-2 to the Turkish giants earlier in the term and have only amassed three points from 12 on offer so far, sitting bottom of their continental section as a result.

Defeat would rule out the Red Devils' chances of a top-two finish, but Man United return to Group A action on a high, having strolled past Everton 3-0 in Sunday's Premier League affair.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Galatasaray, who are one point and one place better off than the Red Devils in third position.

Casemiro

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Experienced midfielder Casemiro is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines, though, having succumbed to a hamstring injury against Newcastle United in the EFL Cup, and he should not return before the New Year.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 9 (vs. Bournemouth)

Tyrell Malacia is making good progress in his recovery from a knee injury and may return at some point next month, but Luke Shaw's comeback has eased Ten Hag's concerns on the left-hand side.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

One left-sided defender who is not close to a first-team return is Lisandro Martinez, though, as the Argentine will be keeping Casemiro company in the treatment room for the next couple of months due to his foot injury.

Amad Diallo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Amad Diallo has stepped up his recovery from a knee injury by training individually on the Carrington pitches, but the Ivorian winger will not be seen in action for quite a while yet.

Jonny Evans

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Jonny Evans was a casualty of Man United's most recent Champions League clash with Copenhagen, pulling up with a muscle injury in the first half, and there is currently no indication when the veteran defender might return.

Christian Eriksen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen sustained a knee issue during Man United's win over Luton Town earlier this month, and Ten Hag has conceded that he will be missing for a number of weeks.

Mason Mount

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Mason Mount's injury-hit start to life at Old Trafford continued last week as the Englishman sustained a muscular issue in training, and reports have claimed that the midfielder is likely to be sidelined for the next few weeks.

MANCHESTER UNITED SUSPENSION LIST

Marcus Rashford

Return date: December 2 (vs. Newcastle United)

Owing to his controversial red card against Copenhagen on matchday four, Marcus Rashford will miss the trip to Galatasaray through suspension, while Jadon Sancho also remains out of the first-team picture amid his protracted set-to with Ten Hag. body check tags ::
