Trabzonspor vs. Red Star (Thursday, 5.45pm)

In the second round of Europa League group stage fixtures, Trabzonspor and Red Star Belgrade will square off in Turkey on Thursday as both teams look to put their first points on the board.

The hosts lost their opening game away at Ferencvaros 3-2, while their visitors were narrowly beaten on home turf by Monaco.

We say: Trabzonspor 1-1 Red Star Belgrade

We put these two sides on a relatively level playing field, and with Trabzonspor yet to hit the heights they displayed last season, we think the Serbian outfit have enough to leave with a share of the points.

Monaco vs. Ferencvaros (Thursday, 5.45pm)

Monaco host Ferencvaros in Group H of the Europa League on Thursday, with both teams looking to build on victories last week.

Monaco won 1-0 away to Red Star Belgrade, while Ferencvaros recorded an impressive 3-2 win against Trabzonspor despite playing with 10 men for most of the match.

We say: Monaco 3-1 Ferencvaros

Ferencvaros do carry some attacking threat through their pacey wide forwards, but we expect Monaco to have too much for them on Thursday.

It could be an open, entertaining encounter between two sides who can play with a degree of freedom having both picked up a win in their opening match.

Real Sociedad vs. Omonia (Thursday, 5.45pm)

Real Sociedad will be looking to claim their second successive Europa League win in Group E when they welcome Omonia to the Estadio Anoeta on Thursday.

The visitors, meanwhile, are seeking to avoid a third successive defeat across all competitions.

We say: Real Sociedad 3-0 Omonia

Despite the absence of Sadiq, Real Sociedad still have plenty of quality in the final third and they should have no problems in breaching Omonia's backline.

The visitors will be keen to improve on last week's performance, but we expect the hosts to run out comfortable winners on Thursday.

Sheriff Tiraspol vs. Man Utd (Thursday, 5.45pm)

Manchester United will aim to pick up their first Europa League win of the campaign when they make the trip to face Moldovan powerhouses Sheriff Tiraspol in Thursday's Group E contest at the Zimbru Stadium.

The Red Devils went down 1-0 to Real Sociedad on matchday one, while their hosts ran out convincing 3-0 winners over Omonia Nicosia.

We say: Sheriff Tiraspol 0-1 Manchester United

Facing a side as unyielding as Sheriff Tiraspol on the defensive front is not a recipe for a goal-laden performance from Man United, but Ten Hag can be expected to recall his big-hitters amid a lack of domestic action.

Tomas's side are not to be underestimated in continental competition by any stretch, but a first-choice United backline can expect to quell the hosts' attack, and the Red Devils should nick the odd goal to enter the international break on a high.

Midtjylland vs. Lazio (Thursday, 5.45pm)

After experiencing different fortunes on the first day of the Europa League group stage, FC Midtjylland and Lazio will battle it out for three points at the MCH Arena on Thursday.

While the visitors swept aside Feyenoord in their opening Group H fixture last week, the hosts suffered an early setback in Austria; losing 1-0 to Sturm Graz.

We say: FC Midtjylland 1-2 Lazio

Back on the winning trail during the past week, and able to score from a variety of sources, Lazio should take advantage of their hosts' brittle confidence to post a second straight victory in Group H.

They do not tend to travel well - particularly in Europe - but this week provides the perfect opportunity to start improving their sorry stats in that regard.

Feyenoord vs. Sturm Graz (Thursday, 5.45pm)

Looking to bounce back from an opening defeat, Feyenoord welcome Sturm Graz to De Kuip on Thursday evening in matchday two of the 2022-23 Europa League group-stage campaign.

Meanwhile, the away side set out to make it back to back continental victories and pick up from where they left off last time out.

We say: Feyenoord 2-1 Sturm Graz

Feyenoord will be keen to get themselves back on track by securing all three points in front of their fans. We are backing them to get the job done come the end of the 90 minutes, albeit by only a narrow margin.

Olympiacos vs. Freiburg (Thursday, 5.45pm)

Olympiacos will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Nantes last week as they take on Freiburg in Group G of the Europa League on Thursday.

Freiburg, on the other hand, can play with more freedom having beaten Qarabag FK in their opening match in the competition.

We say: Olympiacos 1-1 Freiburg

With Corberan needing to avoid defeat after a slow start to his time in Greece and Freiburg likely to rest a few key players, we can envisage both teams settling for a point on Thursday.

There is little doubt the visitors come into this match in better form but they lack experience in terms of juggling two competitions and would likely consider a draw away from home to be a positive outcome, especially considering their victory last week.

Qarabag FK vs. Nantes (Thursday, 5.45pm)

Qarabag FK take on Nantes in Group G of the Europa League on Thursday, with the visitors looking to build on last week's 2-1 win against Olympiacos.

Qarabag, meanwhile, were beaten by the same scoreline by Freiburg, so will hope home advantage can help them bounce back with a victory.

We say: Qarabag FK 1-1 Nantes

Nantes may be content to come away with Azerbaijan unscathed having already gained a win against Olympiacos last week.

Qarabag are tough to beat on home soil, but likewise can find it tough to break teams down at this level, so may not be too disappointed with a share of the spoils either.

Dynamo Kiev vs. Larnaca (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Dynamo Kiev and AEK Larnaca will look to pick up the first points of this season's Europa League when the two clubs face off on Thursday.

The Ukrainian side lost 2-1 to Fenerbahce on matchday one, while Larnaca were beaten 2-1 at home to Rennes last week.

We say: Dynamo Kiev 1-1 AEK Larnaca

Both sides lost narrowly on matchday one, and we believe they will be involved in a close-fought contest, which we think could result in a draw with both sides looking to avoid beginning the group stage with consecutive defeats.

Rennes vs. Fenerbahce (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Rennes host Fenerbahce in Group B of the Europa League on Thursday, with both teams looking to build on victories last week.

Rennes scored a last minute winner away to AEK Larnaca, while Fenerbahce did exactly the same against Dynamo Kiev.

We say: Rennes 1-1 Fenerbahce

Having had a rest at the weekend, Fenerbahce should be the fresher side, particularly as the game heads into the latter stages.

Having rotated in Cyprus last week, much will depend on the starting XI which Genesio picks, as there is little doubt Rennes have more firepower if their strongest team is on the pitch.

Real Betis vs. Ludogorets (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Real Betis welcome Ludogorets Razgrad to the Estadio Benito Villamarin for their second fixture in Group C of the Europa League on Thursday.

Both sides claimed maximum points in their opening group game last week, and the victors of this contest will end the night at the summit.

We say: Real Betis 2-1 Ludogorets Razgrad

Ludogorets should not be underestimated after their win over Roma, but as favourites Real Betis will still fancy their chances of claiming all three points.

The hosts have an impressive home record at the group stage and we can see them coming away from Thursday's fixture with a slender victory.

Roma vs. HJK Helsinki (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Both beaten on the opening day of the Europa League group stage, Roma and Finnish champions HJK Helsinki meet at Stadio Olimpico on Thursday, aiming to get off the mark with a win.

While the hosts lost to Ludogorets in Bulgaria, their visitors were suffering a 2-0 defeat against Real Betis, who are now favourites to top Group C.

We say: Roma 2-0 HJK Helsinki

While HJK's players will have been anticipating their trip to Rome since the draw was first made, they are set to return home empty-handed due to the gulf in resources available to both coaches. Even if Jose Mourinho rotates his squad, the hosts can record their first Group C win.

Union SG vs. Malmo (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Union SG will look to continue their winning start to the Europa League group stage on Thursday, when they welcome Malmo to Belgium.

The hosts triumphed over Union Berlin in their curtain-raiser, while the Swedish outfit fell to a defeat at the hands of Braga.

We say: Union SG 2-1 Malmo

Les Unionistes were far more impressive in the opening round of fixtures, and in front of a Belgian home crowd, we back them to prevail with a second straight victory.

Braga vs. Union Berlin (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Seeking a seventh win on the bounce across all competitions, Braga play host to Union Berlin at the Estadio Braga Municipal in Group D of the Europa League on Thursday.

The Bundesliga outfit head into the game seeking to pick up their first win of the campaign following their opening-day defeat at the hands of Union Saint-Gilloise.

We say: Braga 3-1 Union Berlin

Braga will head into the game with sky-high confidence, having won each of their last six games in all competitions. They are unbeaten at the Estadio Braga Municipal since April and we predict they will make use of their home advantage and see off the Bundesliga side to keep their fine run going.

Bodo/Glimt vs. FC Zurich (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Both searching for a first win in the Europa League group stage at the second time of asking, Bodo/Glimt and FC Zurich will do battle in Norway on Thursday.

The hosts picked up an impressive point away at PSV Eindhoven in the first round of fixtures, while their visitors were only narrowly beaten by Arsenal.

We say: Bodo/Glimt 2-1 FC Zurich

FC Zurich's form so far this season is somewhat concerning, and while they performed admirably against Arsenal, we do not see them having enough to force a result against an imposing Bodo/Glimt side in Norway.
