Premier League Bingo: Matchday Five

:Headline: Premier League Bingo: Matchday Five: ID:306954: from db_amp
Matchday Four of the Premier League was as unpredictable and eventful as ever, but could we see similar entertainment on Matchday Five?

The September international break seemed to take forever to come to a conclusion, but we were all rewarded for our patience with an unpredictable weekend of Premier League action. A million-and-one opinions were formed over whether kicking an opponent in the face should result in a red card, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger got to remember what it felt like to be praised for a win again and Mark Hughes was once again involved in some handshake shenanigans.

Website newsitesforbingo.com provides you with all the latest offers on bingo games on betting websites, so we have gotten into the spirit of things by compiling our own Premier League Bingo card for Matchday Five. The chances are that we may only win on a line rather than gaining a full-house but as was proven last weekend, anything can happen in England's top flight.

Who is next in line to be snubbed by Jose Mourinho?

It does not take much for Jose Mourinho to switch from calmness personified to Mr Pedantic. It usually occurs when Manchester United fail to win a football match. That is exactly what happened at the conclusion of United's 2-2 draw with Stoke City last weekend, with Mourinho snubbing a handshake from his counterpart Hughes after the Welshman had previously told him - in no uncertain terms - to remove himself from his technical area.

The question now is who will be next on Mourinho's hitlist? United host Everton on Sunday afternoon so there could be any number of targets, ranging from Ronald Koeman to Wayne Rooney to Morgan Schneiderlin. We are going to throw Erwin Koeman - Ronald's brother - into the mix. Ronald will be more focused on trying to get some more points on the board in the Premier League, so maybe Erwin - his sibling's assistant - has a better chance of infuriating the so-called "special one".

Which player will be next to replicate Sadio Mane and Matt Ritchie?

Over the course of last weekend, Liverpool's Mane and Newcastle United's Ritchie both decided that kung-fu should be introduced into Premier League football. They were both punished for raising their studs six feet in the air - Mane more so than Ritchie - but the fact that Ritchie felt the need to try to replicate Mane's efforts from the day before suggests that we may see more martial-arts moves, or even a Hulk Hogan big boot.

In theory, any player could commit such an act of aggression, but maybe focus your attention on Renato Sanches. The Swansea City newcomer felt the need to kick Newcastle's Joselu in his unmentionables (accidentally, of course) on Sunday, so maybe the Portuguese prospect wants to add a bit of variety to his combative game.

Has there ever been a game more destined to end goalless than Crystal Palace versus Southampton

This seemed more of a certainty before Frank de Boer was informed that five games was not long enough to enforce his own ideas onto a football club which has predominantly worked with English coaches. However, with Roy Hodgson likely arriving at Selhurst Park, you still cannot back against a drab stalemate, especially if you can recall Hodgson's last game in charge of England...

Southampton netted three goals against 10-man West Ham United, but the Saints have failed to score in each of their other four games this season. Do not expect a thriller on Saturday afternoon...

Can Danny Welbeck achieve the unthinkable?

You have to feel for Danny Welbeck. The England forward is never going to be Ian Wright or Thierry Henry but each time that he features on an Arsenal teamsheet, he is ridiculed. However, the inconsistent frontman can laugh back in the faces of his detractors if he nets against Chelsea this weekend because it may potentially leave him at the top of the goalscoring charts in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old may have only scored 20 goals from 74 appearances for the Gunners, but three of those efforts have come since the start of the campaign. Maybe this is finally the year when the former Manchester United academy prospect comes good?

Can Watford begin the journey of "doing a Leicester City"?

There were a few raised eyebrows when Marco Silva snubbed the likes of Porto to take charge of Watford, but the Portuguese has left people even more dumbfound by leaving the Hornets on the brink of topping the table after five games. Sure, Watford are going to have to defeat Manchester City on Saturday afternoon to complete that achievement but let their supporters dream a little. It was only a few months ago when they had to experience a manager who refused to speak English and left the club close to relegation to the Championship.

It is not realistic to expect Watford to "do a Leicester City" and win the title but if they lurk around first place - or even the top six - for a prolonged period of time, they will be nicknaming Marco Silva as Marco Gold before too long.
