Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani has dropped a huge hint that he is set for his Red Devils debut against Chelsea this weekend.
The former Paris Saint-Germain striker is yet to pull on the historic '7' jersey since arriving at Old Trafford on deadline day, with the Uruguayan recently finishing a period of quarantine and beginning training with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
United face a crunch match against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday evening, and Cavani has set tongues wagging by talking up an on-the-field reunion with former PSG teammate and current blue Thiago Silva.
Speaking to EN24 News, Cavani said of the veteran defender: "It will be great to be able to find him on the pitch. Thiago is very professional, because he works so hard in training and in the pre-match warm-ups. Well, it won't be easy!
"It will be complicated because he is a very good central defender and an excellent footballer. But it will still be a great experience."
United go into the game following a 2-1 victory over Cavani's former employers PSG in the Champions League, and Solskjaer's men have recorded two wins and two losses in the 2020-21 Premier League season so far.
