Manchester United on worst run of conceding for over 50 years ahead of Liverpool visit

Manchester United are on their longest run without a home clean sheet in the league for over 50 years.

Manchester United are without a clean sheet in their last nine home Premier League matches, which is their longest run without one since 10 between September 1970 and February 1971.

The Red Devils have not produced a shutout in the league at Old Trafford since March, when they recorded a 1-0 win over West Ham United courtesy of an own goal from Craig Dawson.

Indeed, the 20-time English champions have conceded at least once in their last nine home league games against Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley, Leicester City, Liverpool, Fulham, Leeds United, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are now preparing to welcome bitter rivals Liverpool to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Man United have conceded six times in their last two games against Leicester and Atalanta BC, while they have not kept a clean sheet in any competition since a 1-0 success over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the league on August 29.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Chelsea, who have played one game more. body check tags ::
