What the papers say

Jadon Sancho's transfer to Manchester United could go ahead after all, with the 21-year-old England man pushing his agent to make it happen, according to the Manchester Evening News. United's enthusiasm for Sancho was said recently to have waned, given the strong form of their 19-year-old forward Mason Greenwood. But Sancho has reportedly asked his agent to secure the move this summer, having been disappointed that it failed to pan out last year.

Frank Lampard heads the list of contenders to replace Roy Hodgson as Crystal Palace manager, the Daily Telegraph reports. Hodgson's contract expires at the end of the season and Palace are contemplating a change. Lampard has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in January. In other reported coaching news, Tottenham are interested in Fulham's Scott Parker and Barcelona have made contact with Bayern Munich's outgoing coach Hansi Flick's agent amid doubts over Ronald Koeman's future at the Nou Camp.

Sheffield United's Sander Berge could be off to Arsenal (Nick Potts/PA)

Arsenal are weighing up a bid for Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge, according to Yorkshire Live. The 23-year-old Norwegian will be looking to stay in the Premier League after the Blades' relegation and Berge is prominent on Mikel Arteta's list as he undertakes a major overhaul of his squad this summer.

Manchester United are keen to sign Atalanta defender Cristian Romero, Sky Sports reports. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made signing a new centre-back partner for Harry Maguire this summer one of his main priorities and the 23-year-old Argentinian is high on a list that also includes Lille's Sven Botman and Sevilla's Jules Kounde.

Slavia Prague's Abdallah Sima, seen here in Europa Cup action against Leicester, is a target for West Ham and Arsenal (Nick Potts/PA)

West Ham and Arsenal are interested in Slavia Prague's 19-year-old striker Abdallah Sima, the Evening Standard says. The Senegalese forward was instrumental in Slavia's impressive progress in the Europa League this season and is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
