Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes this summer.

The 29-year-old has been a talismanic figure for the Red Devils since making the switch to Old Trafford from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon in January 2020.

Over a four-year period, Fernandes has featured in 230 games for Man United, finding the net on 79 occasions and helping the club to a single major honour.

The midfielder assisted the Red Devils to EFL Cup glory during Erik ten Hag's first campaign in charge on the red side of Manchester, however things have not been as smooth sailing this term.

Despite that, Fernandes has still managed to post admirable numbers in the Premier League for Man United, scoring 10 times and providing seven assists in 33 league appearances.

Man United's Fernandes wanted by Bayern, Inter?

According to the Manchester Evening News, there is set to be serious interest from elite European outfits for Man United's Fernandes over the summer.

The report claims that Bundesliga challengers Bayern Munich are eyeing an ambitious swoop for the Portugal international, who will be aiming to lead his side to European Championship glory in Germany next month.

For the first time in 12 years, the Bavarian giants failed to lift the German crown this term, losing the title race to an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen side.

It is also understood that Serie A champions Inter Milan are interested in a move for United's Fernandes, with Simone Inzaghi's men aiming to record back-to-back league successes next term.

The 29-year-old's contract at Old Trafford expires in 2026, meaning that any potential suitors would need to fork out a considerable fee for his services.

Man United players 'fearing Fernandes exit'

Following the collection of just one point from their last three Premier League matches, Man United are at risk of missing out on European football all together next season.

It is believed that Fernandes would be open to a move away from the red side of Manchester should Ten Hag's troops fail to book their ticket onto the continental stage.

This has supposedly led to considerable fears from inside the Man United camp that their leading marksman could depart during the summer transfer window.

After missing the last two games due to a wrist injury, Fernandes could be back in contention as United welcome fellow European hopefuls Newcastle United to Old Trafford on Wednesday night. body check tags ::
