Casemiro will reportedly be officially presented as a Manchester United player in the build-up to Monday's Premier League clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils announced on Friday evening that they had reached an agreement with Real Madrid over the transfer of the Brazil international, who is expected to pen a four-year deal with the option of a fifth.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Casemiro has now completed his medical with the Premier League club but is waiting for his visa to be able to make his debut.

The Brazilian will not be involved in Monday's game with Liverpool but is likely to be available to make his first outing in next weekend's Premier League clash with Southampton at St Mary's.

According to Marca, Casemiro will say goodbye to the Real Madrid fans at a press conference on Monday before making the trip to Manchester.

The report claims that the South American will be presented to the Old Trafford crowd ahead of the Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Meanwhile, it is understood that Casemiro will wear the number 18 shirt for Man United, which has previously been sported by the likes of Paul Scholes, Ashley Young and Bruno Fernandes.

The 30-year-old is set to be in the stands for the contest against Jurgen Klopp's side, with both teams looking for their first victory of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

Casemiro made 48 appearances in all competitions last season, as Carlo Ancelotti's side won La Liga, the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup during a successful campaign.

The midfielder joined Real Madrid from Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo in 2013 and will leave the club having made 336 appearances for the Spanish outfit, contributing 31 goals and 29 assists in the process.

The South American has won three league titles, one Copa del Rey and five Champions League titles since arriving at Bernabeu but will leave in search of a fresh challenge.

Casemiro recently took to social media to pay tribute to Real Madrid and said that he is hopeful of returning "home" at some stage in the future.

"I have lived the most wonderful story that I ever thought. I hope to return one day to what will always be my home," Casemiro posted on his official account.

"Not in a thousand lifetimes will I be able to give back to Real Madrid and Madridismo all that you have given me. Forever... Hala Madrid."

Man United are reportedly still looking to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong before the end of the summer transfer window, while they are also being heavily linked with Ajax attacker Antony. body check tags ::
