Manchester United are reportedly prepared to let Raphael Varane leave the club at the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign.

The 30-year-old has featured 16 times in the Premier League for the Red Devils so far, scoring one goal and helping his side's recent upturn in form.

Varane joined the red side of Manchester from Spanish giants Real Madrid for a deal worth up to £41m during the summer ahead of the 2021-22 season.

Since arriving at Old Trafford, the Frenchman has appeared 86 times across domestic and continental competitions for United, finding the net on two occasions.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United are planning to let Varane depart the club following the end of the current season in the summer.

The report claims that the Red Devils have decided not to extend the stay of the centre-back past three years, meaning that he will be free to talk to potential suitors.

It is understood that there is a extension clause in Varane's deal at United, however the club are currently unwilling to stretch his stay by another 12 months.

After dropping out of the XI during the early parts of the campaign, the 2018 World Cup winner has started seven of Man United's last nine Premier League matches.

It is believed that Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr are interested in acquiring the talents of Varane as they continue to bolster their ranks with European quality.

A move to the Middle East would allow the defender to reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who he enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Real Madrid alongside.

Ten Hag's men are said to be planning defensive reinforcements ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, with Everton youngster Jarrad Branthwaite supposedly of interest.

After a productive loan spell at Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven last term, the 21-year-old has returned to Goodison Park and cemented himself as a key first-team player under Sean Dyche.

Aiming to record five-straight victories in the Premier League as they strive for a top-four spot, Man United will welcome Fulham to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. body check tags ::
