Harry Redknapp: 'No positives to take from FA Cup exit'

Harry Redknapp admits that Sheffield United "deserved their win" after the League One side knocked the Hoops out of the FA Cup with a 3-0 victory at Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has conceded that Sheffield United deserved to win this afternoon's FA Cup third-round meeting, claiming that his side looked "sluggish".

The League One outfit pulled off a big upset by brushing aside the Hoops 3-0 at Loftus Road, courtesy of a strike from Marc McNulty and Jamal Campbell-Ryce's double.

Redknapp believes that his side's hectic festive fixture list, which has seen them play four games in nine days, had a big part to play in the reverse, although he refused to play down the magnitude of United's emphatic triumph.

"They were better than us today," he told the club's official website. "We looked lethargic, they looked sharp and they thoroughly deserve their win.

"They played well, you have to give them credit. You look at their record in the cup – they're in the semi-finals of the League Cup having beaten Southampton. They're a good team. We looked sluggish.

"I had to play four or five players who have played three games in a short period, but I had no-one else. What can you say afterwards There's no point shouting and screaming. Our home form has been excellent all season, it's been fantastic. There aren't many positives I can take from today. There aren't any, in fact."

QPR return to action next weekend when they take on fellow Premier League strugglers Burnley at Turf Moor.
