Sports Mole previews this weekend's Scottish Championship clash between Rangers and Falkirk at Ibrox.

Rangers will be looking to win their fifth Scottish Championship game on the bounce this weekend when they host Falkirk at Ibrox.

The Gers have hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks to keep up with league leaders Hearts, as well as prolonging their spells in the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.

Off-field issues still continue to surface, with Derek Llambias being appointed as a non-executive director earlier this week, but on the field things could not be going much smoother for Ally McCoist's men.

A large part of that is down to their ability to keep out the opposition, conceding just one goal in their last four league outings.

They take on a Falkirk side who have picked up two wins from their last eight, although the Bairns did stick six past Cowdenbeath last time out to move within a point of the playoffs.

Peter Houston is therefore likely to make as little change as possible to his side, and with two weeks' rest the visitors should be recharged coming into the game.

Rangers keeper Cammy Bell is still recovering from a shoulder injury, meanwhile, although Steve Simonsen recovered from a knock of his own to feature in the 3-0 win over Cowdenbeath in the week.

Top scorer Nicky Law bagged his sixth goal of the campaign in that straightforward victory, and he is in line to start again on Saturday, along with Lewis Macleod who was called up to the Scotland national side this week.

Falkirk will be sick of the sight of Rangers having lost twice against their weekend opponents already this campaign.

Sports Mole says: 3-1
