Sassuolo have moved into a commanding 2-0 half-time lead at home to Inter Milan in this afternoon's Serie A clash at the Mapei Stadium.
The hosts opened the scoring with just 10 minutes played when Simone Zaza collected Simone Missiroli's cross inside the box before rifling the ball into the top corner.
Their lead was doubled with 15 minutes remaining in the half as Nicola Sansone fired an unstoppable effort past Samir Handanovic from 25 yards, after Inter had failed to clear a corner.
With the visitors struggling to create anything in the final third, Sassuolo almost made it 3-0 before the break through Sansone, but his header was kept out from close range.
