Switzerland have failed to find a breakthrough despite dominating a goalless 45 minutes with Slovenia in their Euro 2016 qualifier this evening.
It was a bright start to the game for Switzerland, who were only denied an early goal due to Samir Handanovic's reactions, as the Slovenian keeper pushed Granit Xhaka's effort wide of the target.
Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri would be an influential figure throughout the opening 45 minutes, and he was inches away from breaking the deadlock with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.
Switzerland would come even closer to a goal just before the half-hour mark when Haris Seferovic rattled the post with an effort which left Handanovic motionless.
The visitors would continue to look dangerous throughout the first half, but Slovenia hung on to ensure that they went in at the break on level terms.
