Paco Alcacer and Santi Cazorla both score twice as Spain beat Luxembourg 4-0 to qualify for Euro 2016.

Spain have booked their spot at Euro 2016 by beating Luxembourg 4-0 to finish top of Group C.

Despite the celebrations at the final whistle, there was frustration for Vicente del Bosque's side in the first half as both David Silva and Alvaro Morata were forced off with injuries.

Spain were in charge throughout the game as the hosts dominated possession, and they missed an early chance to take the lead when Jordi Alba fired an effort wide of the post.

Santi Cazorla often proved to be the most threatening for his side, but he was left disappointed when a powerful strike crashed against the crossbar after a patient passing move sliced open Luxembourg.

The visitors battled admirably for long spells of the first half until the deadlock was finally broken by Cazorla, who slotted in after Pedro's strike had been stopped by Jonathan Joubert.

Despite remaining resilient at the back, Luxembourg never looked capable of causing problems for the Spain defence, and the hosts continued to dictate the tempo of the game.

A second goal arrived midway through the second half when Paco Alcacer sprinted clear to find the bottom corner after being released by Cesc Fabregas.

Alcacer had the chance to double his tally when he was once again picked out by Fabregas late on, but he could only send a shot wide as Luxembourg started to tire.

Another chance would arrive for the Valencia striker, who converted from Alba's cross in the closing stages to score his sixth international goal.

There was still time for Spain to add a fourth on a comfortable evening as Cazorla capitalised on space to fire home from the edge of the box.
