Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. AC Milan

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the first leg of Tuesday's Champions League tie with AC Milan.

Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Italy for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against AC Milan, which takes place at San Siro on Tuesday.

Spurs topped their group with 11 points to book their place in the knockout rounds, but they will head into the midweek game in a downbeat mood.

Saturday's trip to the King Power Stadium proved to be a miserable experience as they were beaten 4-1 by Leicester City, however, a win over Milan would be the perfect way to respond to that disappointing result.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash against the reigning Italian champions, who are appearing in the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time since the 2013-14 season.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

The Uruguayan was in visible discomfort when he was forced off against Leicester, and it has since been revealed that he has suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Everton)

Hugo Lloris sustained a knee injury in Tottenham's narrow 1-0 victory over Manchester City earlier this month, which is set to keep him out of action for six to eight weeks.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 1 (Everton)

Ryan Sessegnon is expected to be out of action for six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in training last week.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Yves Bissouma underwent surgery on a stress fracture in his left ankle last week, and as it stands, a timeframe has not been placed on his recovery period.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Return date: February 19 (vs. West Ham United)

After receiving three yellow cards in the group stage, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will serve a one-match suspension, but he will be available for the return leg next month.
