Slaven Bilic: West Ham United "very happy" after Chelsea win

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic declares his satisfaction after his side's 2-1 win over Chelsea, as the Hammers move up to second in the Premier League table.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has expressed his satisfaction after his side's 2-1 win over Chelsea this afternoon.

The Hammers had an early Mauro Zarate effort cancelled out by Gary Cahill, only for Andy Carroll to wrap up the three points for the hosts on 79 minutes.

Bilic's side moved up to second place in the Premier League after the win, and the Croatian believes that his side are growing in confidence.

Speaking to reporters after the match, Bilic said: "We want to continue to play well, and if we defend as a unit and attack as a team we have a chance to win every game. We are very happy.

"We are doing well, but we cannot turn the light off. I am taking it game by game."

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands at half time by referee Jonathan Moss for an altercation with the fourth official, but Bilic expressed his sympathy towards the Portuguese after the match.

"I didn't see Jose after the game. He was not on the bench in the second half. I feel for him during this period, he doesn't deserve it," Bilic added.

West Ham will take on Watford in their next Premier League match on October 31.
