Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause has completed a permanent move to Aston Villa after impressing on loan at the club in the second half of last season.

The 23-year-old is Villa's fourth signing of the summer following their restoration to the Premier League, joining £22m Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes, Jota and Anwar El Ghazi at Villa Park.

Hause made 11 league appearances for the Villans in the closing stages of the last campaign, contributing one goal as they secured promotion via the playoffs.

Kevin Thelwell, sporting director at Wolves, said: "On behalf of everyone at Wolves I would like to thank Kortney for all of his efforts both on and off the pitch during the past five years.

"Kortney has been a tremendous servant to this club, providing a solid backbone to our defence in the Championship where he helped lay the foundations for Wolves' rise to where we are today. We wish Kortney the very best in all his future endeavours."

The deal is thought to be worth £3m and takes Villa's summer spending to date to an estimated £33.5m.
