Eddie Jones unsure of England future beyond 2019 World Cup

England boss Eddie Jones says that he wants to take on "other projects" before calling time on his coaching career.

England head coach Eddie Jones has admitted that he will likely step down from his position should he guide his side to Rugby World Cup glory in Japan.

The 56-year-old has yet to taste defeat since taking over from Stuart Lancaster, winning nine from nine over the past 12 months.

Jones, who coached Japan in last year's World Cup and guided them to a famous victory over South Africa in their opening group game, is hoping to take on similar challenges in the future.

"I want to win the World Cup but once you've won the World Cup I think there's other projects you could be involved in to make the game better," he told BBC Sport.

"I'm lucky to be involved in a great sport like rugby and having done something with Japan that people thought you couldn't do, I'd love to do that in another country. Who knows - we'll wait until end of the World Cup then we'll take it from there."

England face South Africa, Australia, Argentina and Fiji in their upcoming Autumn International programme.
