Former New Zealand international fullback Mils Muliaina has been charged with sexual assault.
The All Black was arrested in April just minutes after his club Connacht lost to Gloucester in the European Challenge Cup.
A statement from South Wales police to the New Zealand Herald said: "Mils Muliaina has been charged with sexual assault on a female aged 16 or over.
"He is scheduled to appear at Cardiff Magistrates Court on the August 7, 2015."
The arrest was caught on live television and Muliaina spent 20 hours in a Cardiff police station.
The New Zealand Rugby Players' Association said Muliaina confirmed that he had been charged, but would not be making further comments until the case was in court.
