Four Scotland changes for Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Australia

Vern Cotter names his Scotland starting XV to face Australia in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals, with four changes from their last win over Samoa.

Vern Cotter has made four changes to his Scotland lineup for Sunday afternoon's Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Australia at Twickenham.

Three of the changes are enforced, with hooker Fraser Brown and lock Tim Swinson starting in place of suspended forwards Ross Ford and Jonny Gray, while Peter Horne comes in at centre for Matt Scott, who is absent with back pain.

The other change is in the back row as Blair Cowan gets the nod over Ryan Wilson.

Scrum-half Greig Laidlaw, who is the tournament's leading scorer with 60 points after the pool stage, will captain the Dark Blues for the 21st time in a Test - only David Sole (25) has captained Scotland more times.

Another back, winger Tommy Seymour, will become just the second Scotland player in Test history to score a try in five straight internationals should he go over.

Scotland: Dickinson, Brown, Nel; Swinson, R. Gray; Cowan; Hardie; Denton; Laidlaw, Russell, Seymour, Horne, Bennett, Maitland, Hogg
Replacements: Bryce, Reid, Welsh, Strokosch, Strauss, Pyrgos, Vernon, Lamont
