Rhys Webb expecting Wales to recover from England setback

Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb insists that his side's Six Nations title hopes should not be written off just yet as history suggests that they can bounce back in style.

Rhys Webb has urged his Wales teammates to learn lessons from the past in order to bounce back from the defeat against England and win the Six Nations crown.

The Red Dragons saw a 10-point lead evaporate at the Millennium Stadium as they fell to a 21-16 defeat in the tournament opener on Friday night.

However, Webb, who crossed over early on for his side's only try of the match in Cardiff, is confident that Wales can repeat their achievement of 2013 and hit back in style from an early setback.

"Two years ago, we lost to Ireland in the first game and went on to win the championship," the scrum-half is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "This team is definitely capable of doing that. It's a world-class team. But we can't afford to switch off as we did in that second half.

"We didn't control the game, we were counter-rucked, sin-binned, and made basic errors. You can't afford to do that. I am sure the boys will be looking forward to hitting the hell out of each other next week.

"We will get stuck into each other. We will look back at the videos and the boys will put their hands up. That's where we are as a team - everyone will chip in and say their part."

Wales return to action when they take on Scotland at Murrayfield next weekend.
