Arizona Cardinals tackle Paul Fanaika has agreed terms on a contract extension to keep him at the club until the end of the 2014 season.
Initially signed as a backup, Fanaika has impressed the coaching team at the Cardinals and is now looking to keep improving as a player.
"It's been a whirlwind, especially now that everything is kicking into full gear," Fanaika told the club's official website.
"I just try to not let that distract me from going out here and being my best and being the best I can be. I am just trying to improve every week, be a solid football player.
"It is kind of a trip sometimes when I sit back and think about it, but then I catch myself and think, 'I need to focus.'"
Fanaika, who was drafted in 2009, has had spells at Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks.
