Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has revealed that he plans to be physical with Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson in their clash on Sunday.
Johnson is widely regarded as the best wideout in the game, but has struggled with injuries this season and Peterson feels that a combative approach could hinder the All-Pro's game in Glendale.
"For me, I'm gonna be physical, because he is a huge human being, and very, very athletic," the 24-year-old told ProFootballTalk.com. "And he can pretty much do anything on the football field.
"But I believe to play my game, I have to be physical with him. I have to be physical with him at the line of scrimmage and throw off the timing between him and the quarterback."
Peterson has recorded 24 tackles and two interceptions for the Cardinals this season.
