Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta is upbeat that he will be able to return to the field for the 2015 season.
The 29-year-old was ruled out of the majority of the 2014 campaign as he sustained a dislocated hip for the second time in a year.
Pitta has been rehabbing with the club for the past seven months and is pleased with his progress ahead of the new season.
"I feel good. But obviously it's a process," Pitta told the team's official website. "I have an idea in mind of where I'd like to be in a couple months, but at the same time you don't know.
"I know what it felt like to do this [rehab] one time. I've never known what it felt like to do it twice."
Pitta has recorded 138 receptions for 1,369 yards and 11 touchdowns in his five seasons in the NFL.
