The Baltimore Ravens and former running back Ray Rice have reached a settlement over a contract dispute, according to a report.
The 27-year-old was released by the club in September 2014 after a video was released of him striking his wife (then-fiancee) in an assault in the lift of an Atlantic City hotel.
Rice was also suspended indefinitely by the NFL following the incident, but won his appeal in November and then filed a grievance against the Ravens to seek the money owed by the terms of his contract.
The running back and the organisation were due to meet in court this week, but the parties have settled a financial agreement to end the matter, reports ProFootballTalk.com.
Rice played for the Ravens for six seasons, and played an integral role in his side's triumph in Super Bowl XLVII.
