Baltimore Ravens linebacker Daryl Smith has admitted that his side were not good enough last season but believes that there is plenty to build on for the 2014 campaign.
The Ravens finished with an 8-8 record to miss out on the playoffs just 10 months after winning the Super Bowl at the end of the 2012 season.
Smith told the Baltimore Sun: "We did some good things, but ultimately we're out here to win, and we did not win enough to get to the playoffs. But we definitely have some things to build on and look forward to that."
Smith recorded 123 tackles, five sacks and three interceptions in the 2013 season.
