Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone is hopeful that quarterback EJ Manuel has learned from his injury after missing his side's last four games.
Manuel was out with a knee injury he sustained while running for a first down during his side's defeat to the Cleveland Browns last month.
Marrone told the club's official website: "What you have is a young player that's still learning and what you'll see the next time, is someone who's going to be a lot smarter and making the right decisions on when to go down and when to go out of bounds without jeopardizing the win."
Manuel is poised to return for the Bills against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
