Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone has expressed his pride in his side after they shut out the Miami Dolphins with a dominant defensive performance yesterday.
Dan Carpenter kicked four field goals and Fred Jackson ran for a nine-yard touchdown as the Bills emerged 19-0 winners, limiting the Dolphins to just 103 yards on offense.
The Bills also recorded a season-high seven sacks on quarterback Ryan Tannehill, leaving rookie coach Marrone delighted with what he saw from his side.
"I'm very proud of this team. It was an honor to be on that sideline and watch those guys perform," Marrone told The AP.
The result leaves the Bills at 6-9 for the season going into their final match against AFC East winners the New England Patriots on Sunday.
