Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy has signalled his intention to remain with the team next season.
Hardy played a big role in the Panthers defense this season, finishing second in the league with 15 sacks to help his side reach the divisional round of the playoffs, where they were eliminated by the San Francisco 49ers.
The 25-year-old's contract will expire during the off-season, but he has expressed his desire to agree a new deal and continue his good form next season.
"I'm real enthusiastic about getting something done and being back here. And the same chip, not bigger or smaller than I've had my whole life," Hardy told reporters.
"I'm going to come regardless, off the edge, and destroy anybody in my way."
Hardy has been chosen to play in the Pro Bowl this season.
