Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall has insisted that he feels "great" despite voicing his frustrations over a hip injury.

Marshall is currently in a race to be fit for the start of the regular season having undergone hip surgery this summer, and yesterday admitted that he was growing frustrated by his lack of progress.

However, the 29-year-old insists that he is fully focused on his recovery and is confident that his hip will be fine once he does return to full fitness.

"Other than the hip, I'm feeling great and life is good. And my hip's going to be great, too," Marshall told ESPN.

"But it's all about this recovery, which has been a little frustrating."

Marshall missed training today due to personal reasons, but the receiver insisted that his absence had been planned from the start of the pre-season regime.
