Man City injury, suspension news vs. Salford: Will Ruben Dias, John Stones, Ederson return?

:Headline: Man City injury, suspension news vs. Salford: Will Ruben Dias, John Stones, Ederson return?:
Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their FA Cup third-round clash with Salford City.

Manchester City will be bidding to book their spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup when they welcome Salford City to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Citizens will enter the match off the back of successive Premier League wins, beating Leicester City and West Ham United, to boost confidence after a difficult period for Pep Guardiola's side.

The reigning English champions are seven-time winners of the FA Cup, including in 2022-23, but they were beaten in last year's final by bitter rivals Manchester United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Salford, who will enter the match off the back of six straight wins, with Karl Robinson's side up in third spot in the League Two table.

Rodri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Rodri, who suffered an ACL injury back in September, remains a long-term absentee for Man City, but there is a slight chance that he could return before the end of the campaign.

Oscar Bobb

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg fracture
Possible return date: February 2 (vs. Arsenal)

Bobb continues to recover from the leg bone fracture that he suffered in August, but a return for the attacker is not too far away, with the 21-year-old expected to be available again in the early stages of February.

Ruben Dias

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Salford City)

Dias sustained a muscular problem in the recent 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, but there is a chance that the defender could be back for this clash.

John Stones

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Salford)

Stones has recently been unavailable for selection due to an ankle problem, but there is a strong chance that the England international could be back in the fold for the clash with Salford.

Ederson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Salford)

Ederson has been absent for Man City's last four Premier League matches due to a knock, and the goalkeeper will need to be assessed before it is determined whether he will be involved in this match.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no players suspended for this match.
