It has been reported that the Chicago Bears have invited quarterback JaMarcus Russell to work out with the team later this week.
The former Oakland Raiders QB, who has not played in the NFL since 2009, is said to be one of a number of free agent quarterbacks scheduled to visit the NFC North team on Friday.
The 27-year-old, who was the top pick in the 2007 Draft, has lost over 50lbs since announcing his intention to resume his playing career in January.
NFL.com also says that the Baltimore Ravens are interested in Russell.
