The Chicago Bears are reportedly nearing a deal to announce John Fox as their new head coach, with sources suggesting that it is "all but done".
The team had confirmed that the former Denver Broncos coach had visited Halas Hall on Wednesday after he mutually parted ways with the Broncos last week, but talks are now at an advanced stage, according to ESPN.
Fox had 49 overall wins and four consecutive AFC West titles from 2011 to 2014 during his stint in Denver but he was unable to win a Super Bowl with the franchise.
The Broncos were then unable to advance to the AFC championship game this year after their loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional playoffs last Sunday.
Fox spent nine years in Carolina prior to the Broncos where he accumulated a 78-74 overall record with the Panthers.
