Two touchdowns for the Cincinnati Bengals gives them a two-point lead against the Kansas City Chiefs heading into half time.

The Cincinnati Bengals have held on to lead at half time against the Kansas City Chiefs at the Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bengals started off with a solid drive that ended in an eight-yard rushing touchdown from Jeremy Hill, who broke to the outside to jog into the endzone.

Kansas City drove back down the field but despite Jamaal Charles helping the team get into the redzone, the Chiefs had to settle for a field goal from Cairo Santos.

Giovani Bernard put Cincinnati 14-3 up after breaking away from the Chiefs defence to score a 13-yard rushing touchdown just before the end of the first quarter.

Alex Smith again replied by finding Jeremy Maclin on a 44-yard pass play, but once more the Chiefs could not find the endzone and would have to accept another Santos field goal.

The Chiefs' scoring troubles continued after another good drive was stalled when Smith was sacked, meaning Santos would have to put up another three points.

Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton would then find Mohamed Sanu for a big 55-yard pass play only to also have to settle for a field goal, although Mike Nugent missed his attempt.

Kansas City came close to taking the lead just before half time but the kicking unit would have come on again to make it a two-point game heading into the break.
