The Cincinnati Bengals have opened talks with Geno Atkins over a long-term contract according to an ESPN report.
The defensive tackle, who is heading into the final year of his rookie contract, has reached the Pro Bowl twice during his first two seasons in the NFL.
The report claims that the AFC North side have been discussing a deal with the 25-year-old for weeks.
Atkins made 12.5 sacks for the Bengals during the 2012 season.
