The Cincinnati Bengals have continued their perfect start to the season with a 34-21 victory over the Buffalo Bills in New York this evening.
Buffalo started well under backup quarterback EJ Manuel, who was playing in place of injured starter Tyrod Taylor, and he would run it himself into the endzone for an early touchdown.
The Bengals quickly replied with a touchdown of their own as quarterback Andy Dalton passed to running back Jeremy Hill for the 15-yard touchdown.
In the second quarter, the other running back Giovani Bernard would get in on the action by rushing beyond the Bills defence for a 15-yard touchdown to put his side in the lead for the first time, and a Mike Nugent field goal put them up by 10 just before the half.
However, Manuel found Sammy Watkins in the final moments of the second quarter for a 22-yard score, although the young wide receiver would not return to the game due to an injury.
After the break, Dalton threw his second touchdown of the day as he found Marvin Jones for a 10-yard score that put Cincinnati up 10 points early in the third quarter.
It would not be long before Dalton had his third touchdown pass, finding his tight end Tyler Eifert against a small defensive back as the Bengals started to pull away from their hosts.
Nugent hit another field goal in the fourth quarter but LeSean McCoy cut the deficit back to two touchdowns, with the running back scoring through a four-yard play with just under seven minutes remaining.
That would not have an effect on the final result, however, as the Bengals move to 6-0 for the first time since the 1980s, while the Bills drop to .500 at 3-3.
