Brian Hoyer has insisted that he still feels like the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns despite his recent injury troubles.

Hoyer made a bright start to his Browns career last year, winning his first two games before suffering a season-ending injury in his third outing for the team.

The 28-year-old returned to the training field for the first time since that October injury today and still believes that he is the first-choice quarterback, despite the Browns handing trials to veterans Vince Young and Tyler Thigpen this week.

"Until someone tells me otherwise. I feel like I'm the starter for this team. I know we don't play a game until August, but I also know that in order to be the guy in August you put the time in in the offseason," Hoyer told reporters.

Hoyer threw for 615 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions in his three appearances last season.
