Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine has admitted that his side could do with extra cover in the quarterback area and is looking to bring in a veteran for competition.
Pettine said that there is no hurry to make the signing but is hopeful that the new man would be there in time for the training camp.
"I don't think we're at the point yet where that decision has to be made," Pettine told ESPN. "I think it will be done around the time of the first camp.
"[Brian Hoyer] is ahead of schedule. We feel good about where he is. Certainly when you look at where he is and with Alex Tanney being the only other quarterback, that is a position we need to address."
The Browns could also look to the Draft to bring in the cover that they need.
