Dez Bryant has been told that he may need surgery after suffering a fracture to his finger on Sunday.
The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver would miss the rest of the NFL season if he undergoes the procedure.
Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones told KRLD 105.3 FM: "Dez will be the ultimate decision-maker as to whether or not he wants to continue to try to play with a lot of protection or whether he should have surgery.
"The reason for the surgery is because you could have life-lasting stiffness there."
Bryant saw a hand specialist yesterday, and has yet to make a decision on whether he believes he can play through the injury.
Bryant has nine touchdowns for the season, and has received for over 1,000 yards.
