Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker Bruce Carter is a major doubt for Sunday's match against the Green Bay Packers due to a hamstring problem.
Carter suffered the injury during his side's 45-28 defeat at the hands of the Chicago Bears on Monday night, limping off the field to be replaced by Cameron Lawrence.
The 25-year-old had an MRI scan on his hamstring yesterday and is now expected to miss out on the Cowboys' crucial home encounter with the Packers.
It is another blow for the struggling Dallas defence after fellow linebacker Sean Lee also picked up an injury during the Chicago game, although his neck troubles are not thought to be serious enough to keep him out of Sunday's match.
Carter has played in all 13 of the Cowboys' matches so far this season, making a total of 79 tackles and two sacks.
