Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will miss the rest of the season with a back injury, according to a report.
The 33-year-old sustained the problem in his side's win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday, but was still able to throw the touchdown pass that secured the victory.
However, an MRI scan on Monday revealed serious damage to the back which has been deemed enough to end his season, reports ESPN.
Romo will now miss his side's crucial NFC East showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, with the winner securing a place in the post-season.
