The Dallas Cowboys have confirmed that they have signed free agent wide receiver AJ Jenkins.
The 25-year-old was selected in the first round of the 2012 Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, but he struggled to make an impact in his rookie campaign.
As a result, the 49ers traded away Jenkins to the Kansas City Chiefs for wideout Jonathan Baldwin, but he failed to make an impact for the AFC West side.
Jenkins had another poor campaign in the 2014 season, leading to his release by the Chiefs. However, the Cowboys have offered him a lifeline for his NFL career by handing the receiver a one-year deal.
The wide receiver has recorded 17 receptions for 223 yards, but has failed to score a touchdown in his three years in the NFL.
